What does being a modern bride mean to you?

For me, being a modern bride is about making the day feel truly ours. It’s not about following every tradition just because it’s expected but about creating a celebration that reflects who we are as a couple. It’s about balancing meaning with fun and ensuring the experience feels effortless and personal.

How did you and your partner meet?

We met years ago through mutual friends, but nothing happened at first. It wasn’t until years later that things naturally fell into place. Fast forward almost eight years, two houses, and two cities later, and here we are—planning a wedding!

What was the best part about the proposal?

How personal and intimate it was. No big, dramatic gestures—just us, in a place that has meant so much to us over the years. It was simple, but looking back, I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. Also, I really wasn’t expecting it (though I’m sure no one will believe that!).

Describe your dream wedding day in three words.

Eclectic, funky, unforgettable.

What’s been the most exciting part of wedding planning so far?

Bringing everything to life! Seeing ideas turn into actual plans and working with incredibly creative people who are helping shape the vision has been amazing. It’s a mix of excitement and chaos, but in the best way.

Who or what inspires your bridal style the most?

I love bold contrasts—eclectic details, geometric shapes, and a mix of unexpected elements. I’mdefinitely not a minimalist, so I gravitate toward statement pieces that feel unique but still timeless in their own way.

What’s your favourite piece from the collection, and why?

The Beau blazer, I love how it blends structure with playfulness—the bow details give it a fun, unexpected touch while still feeling polished. It’s the perfect mix of classic and cool, which is exactly the vibe I want for my wedding looks.

Are there any wedding “rules” you’re choosing to rewrite?

Oh, absolutely. I love breaking traditions, but I also have to balance things out with Afonso, who’s a bit more traditional than I am. So, while I’d go all out with unconventional choices, we’re finding ways to mix both of our styles into something that feels true to us.

What’s one tradition you’re happily breaking?

I’m not sticking to the all-white bridal look. I love playing with different styles, textures, and silhouettes, so I’lldefinitely beswitching things up throughout the celebrations.

What are you going to do to make sure you feel as confident as possible on the big day?

Honestly? Surround myself with people who hype me up, not stress over the little things, and just have the best time. No overthinking, no pressure—just enjoying the moment and looking great while doing it.
